How Do I Apply to Become a Volunteer?
Notes
- The minimum age for volunteers is 18.
- All volunteers will be expected to attend the volunteer training day. This will be held in Sutton Coldfield in Birmingham on a Sunday at the end of June. Look at the diary for this year's training date.
- All volunteers, whether new or experienced, will be asked to sign a form to allow the Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) to perform a search of the police national computer.
- We will need a photocopy of either your Birth Certificate, Driving Licence or Passport and 2 different photocopies of identity evidence such as a P45, utility bill, marriage certificate or an official document with your current name and address on it. Please don't send these until we ask you to.
- New volunteers will be asked to provide details of two people who may be approached as referees. These people should know the applicant well but not be related. Ideally one of the referees should an employer, tutor or teacher. The other should know the applicant socially.
- Experienced volunteers will be asked to provide one referee.
- If, once you have sent in your application form, you are no longer able to take part in a Camp then PLEASE contact us as soon as you know. We will need to offer your place to somebody else.
- If you have any queries about coming on the camp that aren't answered on this website then please contact the volunteer organiser
