Breakfree 2 Camp 2010

Before anybody knew it August had arrived and Breakfree 2 was here. Sunday saw the first full day trip. Most people knew was that we were going out; only a select few knew that our destination was sunny(!) Rhyl. Lunch was accompanied by a flight display from the Red Arrows and a variety of other stunt planes; it made for a very noisy meal!. After lunch we hit the beach, and much fun was had by all.

We visited Plas Madoc swimming pool , which was lots of fun. Sholah loved the slide. Mohammed surprised everybody by swimming by himself without holding onto anybody wearing just his armbands and his rubber ring. Rain tried to hamper play in the afternoon, but just because we couldn’t go hunting for monsters, didn’t mean we couldn’t have fun. We improvised with a box full of drums and bells and other musical instruments and made lots of noise and lots of giggles.

We visited Telford to try our hand/feet/wheels at ice-skating. It was amazing. Everybody had a go, some lasted longer than others! Nobody could skate fast enough for Danni or Snaa, although Lorenzo had a good go. The skating star has to be Eddie, who pulled on his size 10s and gave it a go, while a little help from Adrian – Well Done Eddie.

2010 truly was an amazing Camp; so many stories, so many jokes, and so many tales that will be shared for a long time to come.
