Breakfree 2 Camp 2008

What a truly amazing week Breakfree 2 was. As normal on Breakfree 2 many new activities were experimented with this year, all of the proving to be a big hit!! There was a photo treasure hunt of the grounds – where of course there was absolutely no cheating at all (cough cough!!!) – and of course the rain just added to the enjoyment.

The best new activity this year was most definitely JJ’s Play centre, we had the whole place to ourselves for the morning so everybody just relaxed and had a fantastic time. Alex discovered the relaxing power of the vibrating chair and made everybody laugh with his infectious smile and bursts of giggles. Glen enjoyed being able to take things apart and throw things around without being told not to, he also enjoyed being the hero and protecting the Camp leader when everybody started throwing the ball pit balls at her.

We also took on the challenge of the Amazing Maize Maze, where everybody got into the pirate theme. Everybody discovered the Lucas is in fact the human Sat Nav managing, to guide us out of the middle of the maze twice, both times in record time; Who needs expensive pieces of electrical equipment when you’ve got Lucas?

One day we turned the upstairs lounge into a cinema for a film night with hot chocolate and popcorn. All in all another fantastic week that was full of smiles and laughter, and even before the week was over plans were being made for 2009, which promises to be bigger and better. Thanks to everybody who took part in Breakfree 2 2008 it was a fantastic Camp that everyone thoroughly enjoyed.
